Management of artist's exhibitions, publications, curations, and installations.
For more than a decade, I’ve worked closely with the artist overseeing dozens of initiatives, including the curation, design, copywriting, and printing of a limited edition monograph of abstract works with a forward by art critic Peter Frank, which beautifully compliments his exhibitions. I also have handled his portfolios, e-newsletters, and publicity, as well as his catalogue raisonné, art preparation for installations, and management of his fashion photography archives. Result: Gallery representation, increased awareness, museum acquisitions, global exhibitions, more than a dozen retrospective publications worldwide, and collector purchases.

Ad agency search with request for proposals, and presentations oversight.
(Concept above is my own.) The City of Los Angeles Zoo & Botanical Gardens provides enriched cultural and educational experiences, supported by the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association (GLAZA), which administers its special events, visitor services, community relations, and advertising. I was hired by GLAZA to direct a seven-figure request for proposal process for an advertising and public relations agency for the zoo. My services during the six-month search included an internal needs assessment, an RFI to identify agency candidates, writing and issuing an extensive RFP, and guiding the entire process through the final pitch. Result: After the pitch, GLAZA selected an agency and awarded the account.

International mentorship program in Paris and Los Angeles for fashion photographers.
I co-founded and co-directed this ground-breaking immersive mentorship program for four years, for about 100 student photographers in Paris and Los Angeles. Growth was mainly organic, through word-of-mouth, social media, and public relations. I secured sponsors, including Nikon and Profoto, developed educational curriculum, and produced more than 50 fashion and beauty shoots with professional teams in-studio and on-location. I also handled cultural excursions and student exhibitions (see next slide), bookings, and travel logistics. Result: The business rapidly expanded to include international students from ten countries, publicity, and unprecedented access, learning, and social immersion at the highest levels of the fashion industry. Sponsor partners received advertising and promotional benefits, as well as product exposure with the students, fostering long-lasting brand loyalty. -
Curated exhibits and cultural immersion during international mentorship program.
(Click image to watch video). Along with the curriculum and photo shoot production (see previous slide), I co-curated and produced three gallery exhibits with photography that was created during the Paris program. My co-director and I also facilitated more than 50 extra-curricular cultural activities including museum visits, meetings with fashion professionals, haute couture fashion shows, and A-list industry parties. Coverage for the program and exhibits included Nikon World Magazine, The Hollywood Reporter, California Apparel News, LA Weekly, NBC-LA, and other media. Result: Content was generated and shared across social platforms. The cultural exposure impacted our students both creatively and contextually. The exhibits gave them recognition, and benefited sponsors with another layer of connection.

Immersive learning salons that are fun, memorable, and culturally enlightening.
I created a series of intimate salons in Los Angeles, inspired by the Parisian artist and writer gatherings of Gertrude Stein, that encourage connection, authentic experiences, and a lively exchange of ideas. Partnering with architects, artists, chefs, museum educators, architectural historians, art critics, and authors, I have produced, marketed, and hosted walking tours, cooking and drink-making classes, art exhibits, book signings, gallery visits, and more. Results: These hands-on learning experiences foster community and a sense of belonging. I can scale this concept to help companies deliver personalized brand experiences that create lasting, impactful brand memories.

A non-traditional loyalty program with surprise gifts, personal connection, and advocacy.
Hired to develop and implement overall cross-channel marketing strategy, one of the initiatives I activated was a non-traditional program tailored to recognize past purchase loyalty, with a surprise, curated gift by mail and exclusive invitation to join the “Scrub Club” for more gifts and perks. It encouraged both connection and brand advocacy. Result: By using a combination of personalized communications, online registrations, and social media, with robust tracking and analytics, the program resulted in a significant spike in purchases by loyalists and club participants, and drove additional word-of-mouth advocacy and referrals among colleagues.

Experiential contest to build brand awareness and foster positive sentiment.
Among other marketing strategies, I implemented a contest to recognize a healthcare superhero for going above and beyond to bring happiness to patients. The “pay happiness forward” messaging was aligned with the core “happiness” positioning for the brand. The nomination process was supported through social media, e-blasts, and retailer tent cards, with one lucky nurse winning a spa trip to Santa Monica, and a tour of the company’s offices. Result: The contest provided an emotional connection for colleagues as part of the decision-making for a job well-done and gave the winner a meaningful, personalized brand experience. It met strategic goals with contest tracking showing positive sentiment and increased brand awareness.

Historic community advocacy and activism resulting in change.
In 2019, I co-founded an organization that advocated for fifty-year old departure routes to be reinstated at Van Nuys Airport (VNY) after the FAA suddenly shifted hundreds of low flying jets daily over the Fire Hazard Severity Zones (FHSZ) of the Santa Monica Mountains, jeopardizing residents and wildlife. We built a volunteer coalition in four communities; aligned with a dozen environmental, homeowner, and citizens organizations; and gained support from government reps who formed a Task Force. I led strategy, messaging, and statistical analysis, and presented solutions with my co-founder at meetings attended by 500+ residents and media. Result: In 2025, departures were successfully revised to mimic historic routes using new aviation technology.
